For L and P

It all happened about 2 months ago; a daughter told her father that she is 'ready'. She asked her father whether he is willing to give his full commitment in sending her to that place until she get what she always wanted. Her father, of course, said yes.
There is no need to guess coz it is obvious that the daughter in this story is me. And this is the story of me acquiring my driving license.
I started my 1st session about 2 months ago. As always, at that time I was very much excited to share my experience to my wonderful reader, I really don't have any excuse for the postpone, though.. Sorry..^^
That morning, August 19, 2013. I went to the chosen training centre.. Of course, I know no one, awkwardness was in the air.  Apparently, I shared my intention of being there with quite a number of people. I felt relieve bcoz from my 'observation' I was soo not the only first timer there. Apparently being confused and awkward was normal that day.   I still remember how uneasy I felt at that moment because there was really nothing else we can do while waiting for our name to be called . There was nothing plastered on the wall for us to read, there was no café nearby for us to buy something to eat,  no tv for us to watch, no familiar faces ( although I did saw a couple of my junior from school)Even walking toward  the counter for registration made me feel so awkward. Believe me I am not the only one. We, almost everyone kept on giving smile and awkward nod to each other, asking some obvious/do-not-matter questions like, first time ke? Pkul berapa sampai tadi? to begin the conversation. Thus I decided to take out my hand phone and started to text someone (at that time, anyone will do) just to minimize the awkwardness.

Biasa la tu

The conversation continue for almost 2 hours before my name was called.. I know right.. There is so much things that I can do for that 2 hours, so many levels of  comp games I can achieve , a movie maybe, or even 2-3 eps of drama..kiki
Moving on..
I stamp my handprint for verification before the lady at the counter told me
"bilik 1 ye dik" I gave my response in the form of a smile and two words expression "terima kasih" before marching alone to the referred room.
My name came out quite later than anybody else causing me to experience another awkward moment; I need to enter a room full of unknown people.
Of course, most of the back seats were already taken, apparently everyone prefer to sit alternately with at least one empty seat between them and the other person. I chose the second row. Quiet at the front coz, I wanted to end my awkwrd entrance as soon as possible so I just grab the seat that very much at the same location with the one that always choose during any class. I am happy really, with my chosen seat. Why?? I'll tell you later..^^

Thus begin One simple ice breaking session with a lady who sit next to me,I call her kak dayah, she is a mother to a one year old boy and apparently she decided to take a class D driving license because her husband told her to. A few minutes later the speaker for my first session , the 5 hours class showed up. I recognize him as the son of that one uncle who his name  is on the signboard in front of the premise where I registered to for a driving license..erm anak bos..
Without telling us his name, the speaker started the first part of the session which thankfully was enjoyable and very informative. Besides, he is very funny, He speaks fluent malay but with a very thick  chinese accent which was understandable (still provide a good humor though), and most importantly he is a good-looking chinese man in glasses.. Haha..sorry hazreen no picture of him though.. Because of that, siting at the front was a bonus for me, not only it prevent sleepiness but nothing will obscure my view and my attention to the lesson.. Feel unsure about taking note at first because everybody did not seem to care to jot anything. Took out my note book eventually coz  I need to help myself passing the computerized test.. there were too much road act and demerit point which I found out later on that  are not in the book that they gave us.
to those who intended to take a driving license , this 5 hours class is compulsory to everyone.

After an hour recess time, the second part continue, this time with a different speaker. An older chinese man who spoke about signboard and safety precautions. He showed us excerpts from newspaper regarding road accidents , pretty much  explain what he think caused them and what should we do to prevent them.  He is funny too. I remember his story  about a foreigner who asked him a question reagrding why there are so many board in malaysia’s highway that say A WAS. What is A WAS? The speaker told us that he had a good laugh before he told the foreigner what  A WAS means in malaysia.

I don’t remember at what time I got home that day.. but I remember feeling excited for the  incoming computerized test and feel eager  to tell hazreen about my accouter with the good-looking speaker although he is,who I believe is happily married..

 Computerized test

I believe in working hard so that there won’t be any regret. Because of this, I studied diligently for the computerized test. Knowing that all the questions will come from the book that was given, I was determinine to finish studying all the 500 questions.  i make notes on some fact that requires memory and I even visited Mr. Google for confirmation. I quess, what I believe in is in exam, if all the answers are in the book you need to read it at least once. No matter what exam. if you want to ‘goreng” or quess you need to at least know what and how.
   Moving on
On the test day,my brother in- law dropped me at my training centre. I was well-prepared that day. I left the sample questions book at home, I only brought along my note book which I would take a peek on before the test started. At the centre,  those who wanted to take the computerized test were asked to wait for a while.  I waited for about an hour before the driver who will take us to the test location showed up. Surprisingly, my feeling was natural at that moment, I quess it was obvious that there were so many trainees, the delay was acceptable.
It took us another one hour to reach the test location.  The journey seems so long because of the driver. He drive recklessly making us all feel very much concern with our safety.  I did not count , but I am sure that he  broke all possible road regulations known to man. He tailed every front car in unsafe distance  and  he overtook it dangerously.  He drove in unacceptable speed without giving his full attention on the road.
Mr driver LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING,THE CONSTRCUTION BY THE ROADSIDE IS NONE OF YOU BUSINESS. I don’t have the git to tell this right to his face tough.. Maybe because I was ‘well-prepared’ for the test, that driver every mistake became more obvious.
After that breathless and tiring journey (because of the stress and the goosebumps), we arrived at the test locations, we were helped by this one kakak who work at that location alone. I was assigned to my seat  after they took my pictures for an unknown reason ( not for the license for sure because we were asked to provide them the picture).
To be honest, the test questions were easy.  I went out of the test room after 20 minutes with 100% confident that I will get full marks.. if  i get any questions wrong I won’t know which one..haha..
that lovely lady at the counter then gave me my result..
So? Perfect score?^^
Nope. Missed it by 1 mark..

 49/50

Never mind. i still got my L.
Allhamdulillah...

i got back to the waiting area, waiting for the other candidates while wondering how my ride home will be. Will it be 2 fast 2 dangerous as before... Sigh~
