Now You Know What I did Last Holiday..

Hai people!!!

Yes, i know. It has been a while since my last post :) My friend said that i probably need to use the same greeting for my new entry (for the record, I began my previous entry with 'it has been a while since my last post')

so, I did.... (^_^)

My parents are currently in Mecca to perform their Hajj.Alhamdulillah..
I can never be grateful enough that their time has finally arrived to be Allah's guests. I pray that ALLAH will ease everything,Haji Mabrur..Amin.. They will be back on November 17..
I can't wait,we all miss them so much... <3

I hope to complete the Hajj one day. When the time comes, may I have all the strength to perform the best.

Basically,There was no one at home, so my sister wanted me to stay with her throughout the holiday.
i just had an eventful holiday...

Day 1- The Day I Broke the Law.

I wasn't sure how long did it take to get to Lumut from Bagan Serai (my home) I slept throughout the journey... 

At approximately 6pm we arrived at Pasar Malam Manjung... As i got out of the car my brother-in-law said something about a man 'selling' stickers. I didn't understand what he meant by that until I saw this one car… parked proudly by the road and I was like oh my god!!!… seriously!!!... The car's windshield was so full of stickers… literally so full of stickers.. Only a very small part was left for the driver's vision…  one thing came to my mind, poor front passenger. :p…....

Sometimes it's kind of funny to see how people express themselves ....

Pasar Malam Manjung was literally without a doubt the longest pasar malam that I have ever been…It was so long.. I got confuse with the route…like any other pasar malam it was so crowded.  I bought my favourite nasi kerabu (a traditional kelantanese dish)…. This was the first time I managed to buy nasi kerabu complete with sambal tumis. My friend has been telling me about sambal tumis for quite some time, it just that it is difficult to find one at my place… the sambal tumis is always missing… for dessert.. Tau fu fah (soybean pudding). Pasar Malam Manjung's tau fu fah  is officially one of the most delicious tau fu fah ever created…(in my opinion at least)...(^_^)… it was perfect….

 I forgot to mention that my brother- in-law is in the navy… so of course in order for me to stay at my sister's I need to follow certain procedures before I can legally enter the front gate of naval base in Lumut…In exchange for the visitor's pass I need to leave my ID at the front office… it's kind of  like a standard procedure for all visitors who wish to stay at the base… 
my brother-in-law parked the car somewhere near the gate and went to the front office to complete the procedure of my visit.

My sister, at that time, was busy muttering something about this is why my kak long (eldest sister) never want to go to her house….funny…

While waiting for him something caught my attention…I love to take pictures to preserve the moment and at that time I wish to capture the  entrance of TLDM (Royal Malaysian Navy) base. ….. Found the best angle ( from inside the car)…and.. CLICK!!..got it…

New angle.. A little bit to the left..but suddenly I saw something…. There was a sign saying 'ARMY AREA, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE PICTURES…

I was like…WHAT!!!..OH NO!!! I broke the law without even realizing it….

I wonder why the officer (who just happened to stand just beside our car) didn't say anything about my 'crime'..erm…maybe he didn't realize it or maybe I wasn't actually in army area..not yet..( I was at the entrance)…

but what ever it was… to my beloved country, Malaysia "forgive me for my wrong doing"….

Spending some time with books!!

Hello people...

It’s been a while since my last post.What have i been doing all this time? Aside from my courseworks...ermm.let see... watching movies,playing computer games,viewing pictures of my newborn niece (for those who have read my previous entry, her name is Alleya Zandra) and...etc..etc..

I finished reading ‘Pride and Prejudice’ by Jane Austen for the first time..reread my favourite chapters.love the book!!! My favorite character will be Elizabeth Bennet. Her stubbornness really is adorable. The best part will be  when Mr Darcy finally confesses his feeling. You know..
after all those hatred,unnecessary debates and confusions..

It blew my mind figuratively...what i like the most about Mr Darcy is how he changes for the better.. from stiff and cold to someone friendlier :) ..so adorable... I strongly suggest everyone to read this book.. Maybe it will be hard at first (it was written long ago and is in classic English) but it was a lot of fun to read... (^_^)

By the way..about another book that i have read.I was reading  A Pocketful Or Rye by Agatha Christie when I came across this one nursery rhyme in one of its chapters. 

The verses seemed very much familiar to me until I realized that it was apparently the English version of our Lagu Tiga Kupang. You know the one about a king counting in his ' house’ while the queen eats 'roti gula’..

Lagu 3 kupang

Saku penuh padi

6 ekor burung masuk dalam kuali

Bila sudah masak burung nyanyi saja

Tentu sedap makan , beri pada raja...

Raja dalam rumah ,buat kira-kira.

Suri dalam dapur makan roti gula..hey..

Dayang tepi kolam, mahu jemur tepung

Datang burung hitam patuk batang hidung hidung hidung...

This is the nursery rhyme that I told u about..

 it is called Sing a Song of Sixpence (Blackbirds Baked in A Pie)

Sing a song of sixpence a pocketful of rye,

Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie,

When the pie was opened the birds began to sing,

Oh wasn’t that a dainty dish to set before the king?

The king was in his counting house counting out his money

The queen was in the parlour eating bread and honey

The maid was in the garden hanging out the clothes,

When down comes a blackbird and pecked off her nose.

This nursery rhyme was published around 1744 and it was among the earliest nursery rhyme ever created..Awesome right?

I just found out later on that the rhyme includes happier endings for the maid:

They sent for the king's doctor,
who sewed it on again,
he sewed it on so neatly,
the seam was never seen.

This verse wasn’t included in its original version though.

When I was a kid I used to keep wondering everything about the song. Why 3 kupang?why 6 birds?Is it some sort of code or something?the birds that are singing later on, they obviously are not the same birds that ‘masuk dalam kuali’ right?why are they singing when their same species were cooked?why not the king lives in a castle? And etc...

(hmm.. must be one complicated ‘budak kecik’ who always questions unnecessary things.)

But then, as I grow up.. Everything gets answered on its own... it just a song.. People can be creative and who cares whether it’s ‘istana’ or ‘rumah’, 3 kupang or 4 kupang or 5 kupang or..etc...as long as the song sounds good...

Salam..
To begin with..I get sick very rarely and i'm very thankful for that. However, right now i'm sick with the flu..or at least... i think i'm...
 i guess my immune system is protesting and punishing me for not really take care of myself.
i just had McD sundae cone and iced apple juice for my lunch today(which may cause my flu to get worse).
so far i have most of the symptoms.watery nose,feverish body, and dry cough. My best friend  is officially TISSUE BOX...  :( .
I was 'googling' the symptoms and treatments for the flu when i  remembered what i said to my friend when i accompanied her to UiTM's PK (medical centre) last week . i told her something like this 'It's not that i want to get sick or having any kind of illnesses but i really love to see a doctor'.  I guess 'wish granted' ,need to plan for another trip to PK.
 My last visit to PK was 2 week ago for skin infection and it was a very short session compare to the one before that last semester when i asked the doctor all i wanted to know about blood donation. I happened to be not eligible to be a donor because of low iron level..the doctor had been very helpful...
ermmm...blood donation... i need to include that into my 'things to do this semester' list.
So far 'come to class on time' has been my top priority (unfortunately ,still a long way to go for that) huhu...
BTW... i forgot to mention that i got a new niece, newest addition to my family Alhamdulillah...i'm sooo...sooo..soo..happy ... from the pic ,she's such an adorable 2.7 kg little girl...her name is still in consideration.
To the new parents, Abang Lan  'the always helpful brother-in- law' and Kak Hanie my 'always-there-for-me' sister ( I love U Kak Nie infinity times)  :
Congratulations on bringing this beautiful new life into this world. May your precious little baby girl fill your lives with happy days in every special ways. i can't wait to meet her!!

Welcome to the family,wait until you meet your cousins (my extremely playful nieces and nephews...)
bare in mind that you will have a super cool and caring auntie eha who will always there for you just like how you mother is always there for her...(^_^)..there will be so much to do and to see, cepat2 la besar ye... I love u baby...
 i guess that will do for now...need to sleep earlier...drink some water.. get rid of my pile of tissues..... drink more water before going to sleep..

i'm new..

Hi people!!
i'm new here... this is officially my first post..^^it's gonna be legendary kiki.... feeling excited and contented at the same time..
my friend, Iman has been bugging me since  forever asking me to create a blog for myself (this is for you iman ^_^....).wondering what your reaction will be..
All this time i have always feel comfortable keeping only a journal which no one knows about because every time i re-read my previous entries i always find them funny and soo lame to the point that make me thinking that 'there is no way i gonna share this'...
i seriously have no idea what i'm doing right now.. i am suppose to tell my lecturer my research paper topic tomorrow but here i'm doing this which obviously have taken most of my time tonight... i found one topic already but it's always good to have backup right...so because of that... till then friends..Bye...
